Research

Frankel & Fisch conduct projects for clients ranging from individuals seeking
knowledge of their own ancestry to historical research for authors and
investigations performed for police and fire departments. These have included:

  • Personal family history
  • Academic publications
  • Probate claims
  • Intestate heir searches
  • Aliyah documentation

We employ online databases, may visit archival repositories, and are available
for field research. Personal genealogical history can be presented as a family
tree chart, chronology, and/or a historical narrative which may include illustrations
or family photographs. These reports are submitted in pdf format and transmitted
by email or on flash drive, or as paper reports.

We tailor family trees and reports according to each client’s individual focus
and these are not generated using genealogical programs. Samples may be
requested. Research results can also be delivered in Gedcom format for
convenient upload to Family Tree Maker or Reunion.

Frankel & Fisch are also available for mentoring projects. This is charged at a
reduced hourly rate plus travel expenses. Mentoring may also be conducted by
phone.

We offer a selection of instructional and educational PowerPoint presentations
for your genealogical or historical society. We are willing to travel within 100
miles by car, longer distances requiring airline expenditures must be reimbursed
unless our schedule brings us to your location for client work or conventions.
